A POLAR BEAR PLUNGE!!!
pre-plunging.
{I'm in the blinding pink pants and i know my outfit is hot... you don't need to tell me}

{also, is it just me or does my aunt in the front resemble strega nona in this picture??}
So anyway...
I swam in the ocean. In New England. In January.
{here are a few of us heading in}
And honestly, I have to say, I kind of liked it! It might be something I want to do every year.
Very invigorating.
It was strangely easy to get into the water (musta been the adrenaline and it also helped that it was about 50 degrees out). It was almost easier than it is to get in the water in August? I know that sounds really crazy.

{big sis and I after}
On the same beach where we did it they traditionally have a polar plunge on New's Year's Day at noon to start off the new year... so that inspired us. None of us had ever done it before, and we don't really go by the books, so we decided just to have our own... and we just made it just before the sun went down at 4:30 in the afternoon!
{as we were leaving i took this sunset photo}
Can't wait till next year!!
Have you ever done a polar plunge/would you consider it?

I don't know if I could be brave enough to do a polar plunge! I am so impressed that you were able to! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could ever be brave enough for a polar plunge. But that is so cool you did. The sunset is beautiful
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Brave girl! There's no way I could do this! I know another blogger who did this last year and it was COLD! Ekk!
