Wedding Party- Girls!

I started working on a wedding website and thought I'd also include my introduction to my bridal party here.... since you might be hearing a bit about these girls in the next few months!

Sandra: Co-Matron of Honor

Sandra, or Sam as we actually call her, is my big sister! Sam is 8 years older than me and when I was a wee little one, atleast according to our mom, my first sentences were, "Where's Sam?" and "I want Sam!!" If you had told me that growing up, I would have said you were crazy! Yes, we drove each other nuts as kids.... heck, we've had a few instances that would make you think we still do, but today Sam is one of my best friends! She is always full of ideas, and a bit grandiose, and I occasionally have to pull her back down to earth, but I do love her enthusiasm! She is ALWAYS there for me when I need her and I am lucky to get to spend a lot of time with her because she lives in the same town as me. She always keeps me laughing and is one of the first people I go to if I need to cry. I don't know what I'd do without her! E and I are so happy she agreed to be part of our wedding day!

Kristie: Co-Matron of Honor

Kristie is my cousin but she also happens to be one of my best friends! Growing up in the town next door, and with our family being really close, we spent a lot of time together as kids! We would frequently go off on weekend adventures with my mom, beg to have sleepovers, and went on a few wild family vacations! We even attended the same college and were roommates for a couple of years.  Luckily for me, Kristie is one year older than me and tends to go through most of the major "life stages" before me, so I can follow in her footsteps with a little more certainty! These days she just became a new mom to a beautiful baby girl! I was the maid of honor in her wedding three years ago and I am so happy she is going to be a part of mine!

Emily: Bridesmaid

Emily is another cousin and is like the LITTLE sister I never had! We were lucky enough to live right next door (actually it was attached) to each other growing up! We spent more time at each other's houses than we did our own.... sometimes we fought (but mostly only when Emily did things like turn my room upside down looking for my diary) but most of the time we got along! :) When we were little we spent countless hours making up dancing and cheering home videos, dressing up her little bros like girls, or getting in trouble by my Dad for putting bubbles in the jacuzzi (turns out that is not a good idea)! Emily is about to graduate college and I am so proud of her! I can't wait to see what she will do next! These days we work together in the summer and I love it.....even if she maxes out my texting bill sometimes. We are super excited that she is going to be in the wedding, too!

Vicki: Bridesmaid

Vicki is another best friend of mine that I have known since first grade! We went to a few years of elementary school together until I moved away and had to go to a different school. Vicki's dad owned a restaurant in the town I moved to, so for the next few years we hung out with each other, as our joke goes, only when our real friends weren't around! Luckily, during middle school Vicki moved to the same town I moved to and the rest is history. I think we may have even gotten a few nominations for "Most Inseparable" in the high school yearbook, but we didn't win! We have had a LOT of crazy times and reminiscing with Vicki makes me laugh more than anything! We are still friends today, even though she moved all the way to Florida, blah!!  I am so excited to be the Maid-of-Honor in her upcoming wedding and so happy she can be in mine!

Kim: Bridesmaid

Kim has been my friend since high school! I can't remember how exactly we even became friends but I am glad we did! In high school, Kim and I worked together at an ice cream store, lived across the street from each other for a short time, and since Kim owned a mini van, she drove me around a lot!! Haha.... when we are together there is always a lot of laughing and some crazy adventures! Luckily I still get to see Kim a fair amount because she lives in the same town as me! She is one of the kindest and funniest people I know.... and she sends out cards for EVERY holiday, even Halloween, which officially makes her awesome! I am so happy she is going to be in the wedding, too!

Shelby: Junior Bridesmaid

Shelby is my oldest niece. I can believe that she is 16 this year and can drive! She is wild, boy crazy, and goofy....but she is also strong-willed, opinionated, and kind, and I love her lots! I hate that she lives all the way in Michigan, but love that we always have such a good time when we are together! She is a sophomore in high school and manages to get good grades, be on the equestrian team, and play softball! I know she is going to go far in life and I can't wait to watch her grow up even more. I am so happy she agreed to be in my wedding and her only request is that I pick a dress she looks good in! I hope I can live up to the task.

Courtney: Junior Bridesmaid

Courtney is my youngest niece and is turning 11 this year! Once again.... I can't believe she is so old because she is supposed to be the baby of the family! She always make me laugh with her curiosity and reflections on life! I'd guess I say she is wise beyond her years! If you've ever met her, she probably hasn't said much to you, but she really is quite strong-willed and opinionated. Since she lives in town, I get to see her a lot! I have so much fun carving pumpkins, making sugar cookies, and dyeing Easter eggs with her every year, among a million other things we do together! She is smart and sassy and I am sad that she is growing up so fast! I am so happy to have her in our wedding!

Paige: Flower Girl

Baby Paigie is a new addition to the fam since she is only 3 months old! Her Mama is cousin Kristie who you read about above! I am super excited to have her in our wedding. The wedding is 2 days before her 1st birthday, exciting right? We are going to pull her down the aisle in a wagon, but do you think she will be able to walk? We'll have to wait and see!
